The Cabinet Secretary for Public Service, Youth and Gender Affairs Ms. Sicily Kariuki has urged youth and women to be proactive in taking up loans from the affirmative funds. She said that the government had set up these funds to provide easy and accessible loans to help them start and expand businesses. She congratulated those who had accessed the loans, urged them to be ambassadors of the funds and encourage others to borrow.

Ms. Kariuki was speaking while presiding over the #Hudumamashinani program at Engineer, Kinangop Constituency. This is an initiative that seeks to sensitize the public about government programs and provide services to the people at the grassroots.
