PS for Gender in the Ministry of Public Service, Youth and Gender Affairs Ms. Zeinab Hussein encourages young women to rise up and do great things

The PS for Gender in the Ministry of Public Service, Youth and Gender Affairs Ms. Zeinab Hussein has encouraged young women to rise up and do great things in the world. She said that everyone has innate power to do great things and must discover theirs. ” As a Kenyan you have great potential to rise above the world and the Cabinet Secretary for Foreign Affairs Ambassador Amina Mohammed is a good example”, she said.

Ms. Zeinab Hussein said that the affirmative funds will work together and schedule monthly trainings to ensure women entrepreneurs have the relevant skills and knowledge to succeed. She said that the Ministry is in negotiations with African Development Bank to support capacity building for women entrepreneurs, including young women.

Ms. Zeinab was speaking today at a capacity building seminar for women organised by the affirmative funds; Youth Enterprise Development Fund, Women Enterprise Fund, Uwezo Fund and the National Government Affirmative Action Fund in Roysambu. The forum sought to encourage women to take up certification of products as a step towards formally accessing local and regional markets. It also served as a platform for them to network and share experiences.
