Ms. Rakiel Kaoka receives an internship opportunity

Ms. Rakiel Kaoka has received an internship opportunity at the Youth Enterprise Development Fund. She will work at the Finance department for a period of 3 months. Her plight to seek employment went viral online and was highlighted on KTN’s, #Checkpoint. She was featured as one of the many young people who have taken up desperate means to seek gainful employment.

While receiving her at the Fund, the newly appointed CEO Mr. Josiah Moriasi said that the Fund was moved by her plight to seek employment and the courageous means she used to seek the attention of potential employers. “We have prepared a short term package to cater for her immediate needs as we look for a long term solution”. He said.

Ms. Kaoka was grateful for the opportunity. She promised to work hard, gain experience and build her career. She also thanked other institutions that had called to give her opportunities as well as individuals who had wished her well in her search for employment.
