Funds disbursed through the Constituency Youth Enterprise Scheme (C-YES)

  1. Members of the group should be aged 18 to 35 years;
  2. In case of mixed group, at least 70% of the members are aged 18 to 35 years and 100% of group leaders are within the preferred age bracket;
  3. The group is registered with the Department of Social Services or the registrar of societies at least three (3) months before applying for the loan;
  4. The group has to physically be operating within the Constituency;
  5. The group is undertaking/proposing to carry out business oriented activity
  6. Operating an active bank account
  7. Applying group will collect a proposal form from their Divisional Youth Officer, the District Youth Officer, or from the MOYAS or Youth Fund website;
  8. The group loan applicants submit completed business proposal forms to the Divisional Youth Enterprise Development Fund Committee (YEDFC) within the set deadline;
  9. The Divisional YEDFC will screen and assess the proposals received in line with the guidelines provided and within the set time period;
  10. The Divisional YEDFC will then forward the recommended proposals in the order of merit to the District YEDFC;
  11. The District YEDFC validates and approvals the proposals in line with the guidelines provided at both Divisional and District levels;
  12. The District YEDFC forwards details of groups to be funded to the Fund Headquarters where Cheques are processed and sent to beneficiary groups through the District Youth Officer.
