CS Sicily Kariuki Urges Youth To Shun Violence

CS Sicily Kariuki Urges Youth To Shun Violence

The Cabinet Secretary for Public Service, Youth and Gender Affairs Ms. Sicily Kariuki has advised youth to shun violence during the upcoming general elections. She reminded them that they were key stakeholders in the country’s economy and stand to loose their businesses should there be violence.

Ms. Kariuki also asked youth leaders to mobilize fellow youth to form and register groups in order to access loans from the Youth Fund. She said that this was one of the easiest ways to access startup loans from the Fund. She congratulated those who had taken the loans and encouraged them to be ambassadors especially in encouraging others to borrow.

Ms. Kariuki was speaking at Olkalou Catholic Hall, Nyandarua County during a meeting with over 300 youth leaders and beneficiaries of the fund in the county. Also in attendance were the YEDF Board Chairman Ronald Osumba and Board Director Julie Waweru. They encouraged youth to interact with the fund and give feedback that will be used to improve on service delivery.
